~Combat Veteran Owned & Operated - 2 Salty Sarges... Well, what can we say? We are 2 retired disabled U.S. Army Veterans who probably drink and curse way too much but take pride in everything that we do... A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America,” for an amount up to and including their life... Now our goal is to bring you exceptional fresh food at an excellent price... We wholeheartedly support ALL Branches of the U.S. Armed Services including our country’s First Responders, oh yeah... even The Coast Guard!... We don’t care who you are or what you believe in... Over 25 years ago we took an oath to defend “your” rights as an American... Plain and Simple!
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, I left my hometown in 1992 to begin a 22-year journey with the U.S. Army. Through multiple deployments, I had the privilege of meeting remarkable people from all walks of life and gained experiences that profoundly shaped who I am today. After retiring in 2014, I made Colorado my home and co-founded 2 Salty Sarges, where I get to share my passion for great food and engaging with the community.
As co-owner of 2 Salty Sarges’, I’m excited to bring delicious, hearty American fare to the community alongside my business partner and long-time friend Bobby Barden. I’m passionate about cooking and always eager to chat with folks about their life stories—there’s nothing like connecting over great food!
Looking to the future, I’m thrilled to be launching a podcast where I’ll be sharing more about my journey and the incredible stories I hear along the way.
Born and raised in East Haven, Connecticut, I graduated high school and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1994. Over nearly 11 years, I proudly served through multiple deployments, gaining invaluable experience and forming lifelong bonds along the way. During my service, I was severely wounded in Iraq and was honored to receive both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
Today, I co-own 2 Salty Sarges with my longtime friend and fellow veteran, Andrew Rogerson, who also holds a Bronze Star. Together, we bring our passion for great food and the spirit of camaraderie to every meal we serve. Our food truck is more than just a business—it’s a tribute to the journeys that shaped us and the people we’ve met along the way. We’re proud to share this part of our story with you through every dish we create.
